Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service that allows your GP surgery to send your prescriptions directly to your chosen pharmacy electronically. With EPS, you no longer need to collect a paper prescription from your doctor—your medication request goes straight to your nominated pharmacy.
How does EPS work?
When your GP or another authorised healthcare professional issues a prescription, it is sent securely through the NHS system to the pharmacy you have nominated. The pharmacy receives it instantly on their computer system, ready for processing. This means you can simply visit the pharmacy to pick up your medication without needing any paperwork.
Does EPS work for both repeat and one-off prescriptions?
Yes. EPS supports both repeat prescriptions and one-off medication requests. As long as you have nominated our pharmacy, your GP can send your prescriptions directly to us electronically.
